Pray with Me: When Anxiety Feels Heavy
A one-minute prayer for anxious moments, asking Jesus for peace and the grace to take the next small step.

When your mind will not settle
Friday, 23 October 2026
Some worries follow us into the smallest moments: waiting for a message, opening a bill, trying to fall asleep. We may trust God and still feel anxious. That struggle is not a failure of faith.
Today’s intention is for everyone carrying a worry they cannot easily put into words. Pause, if you can, and bring just one concern before Jesus.
Pray with me
Lord Jesus, my thoughts are restless, and I cannot see how everything will work out. You know the fear beneath my busy hands and the questions I keep returning to.
Help me to stay with this moment rather than live through tomorrow’s troubles today. Give me wisdom for what needs my attention, courage to ask for help, and patience with what I cannot change.
Bless those whose anxiety makes ordinary tasks feel overwhelming. Guide them towards compassionate care and people who will listen.
When peace does not come quickly, remind me that you have not left. I place this day, unfinished and uncertain, into your loving hands. Amen.
One small step
Choose one manageable task, then allow yourself a pause. You do not have to carry the whole day at once.
